Why Some Websites and Apps Don't Work with AdBlock VPN

Some websites and apps are incompatible with VPNs by design:

  • Streaming sites sometimes detect and block VPN traffic. AdBlock VPN is designed to work with most major streaming sites, but if you do run into issues, try clearing your browser cache and cookies or using incognito mode. If that doesn't help, you may need to disable AdBlock VPN to access that site.

  • Banking and financial sites often block VPN traffic as a fraud prevention measure. While it may seem like using a VPN with your bank would add an extra layer of security, banks already use strong encryption and fraud detection on their end — and VPN traffic can actually trigger their security systems and lock you out. If you're unable to access your bank or financial accounts, try disabling AdBlock VPN temporarily.

  • Some Windows apps — including Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Adobe Cloud — can experience connection issues when a VPN is active. We recommend disabling AdBlock VPN when using these services.
