About Virtual Locations

What is a Virtual Location?

A "virtual location" allows you to route your internet connection through our VPN servers located in other country. This makes it appear as though you are browsing from that region. This can be helpful if you are trying to access content from another country. Bear in mind that it can also impact things like the language displayed in ads (if you're not using an ad blocker).

By default, AdBlock VPN will attempt to connect to your nearest location. The nearest location is the closest region to you, which allows for optimal speed and performance on your VPN connection. However, keep in mind that it may be faster to connect to a region closer to your "destination" if you are doing something specific with a particular server in a particular location, such as streaming regional video or downloading large files from a distant region.

In most cases, if the country you are currently in is not listed below, you can still use the VPN. To determine if the VPN will work in your country, please see this article: Will AdBlock VPN Work in My Country?
